I Did It!

I DID manage to finish some product this week! I finished one whole set of placemats, hooray! I have one more set with just the topstitching left, but alas, it required a thread change...
Also, when I'm sewing, I put 5 in front of me in the Bumbo seat and for some reason, he can't be in the Bumbo for more than a few minutes without pooping. Weird.

Fashionable Baby Toy!

I found a great tutorial on craftgawker last night to make a teething necklace! It was so simple and turned out so cool! All I needed was a long strip of fabric (I used some gorgeous stuff my sister brought me from Africa), some wooden beads, and my sewing machine. Check the tutorial out for yourself on a bit of sunshine's site. The little man is still a bit crabby, a LOT drooly, and chewing anything and everything in sight.
Of course, as soon as I want to document him chewing on something, he has no interest. This shot above was the best I could get, and not for lack of trying. Dad even got into the game after he finished working on his bike.

I tried offering it to him, showing him how much I liked chewing on it, throwing him up in the air (ok, that was just for fun), Dad tried poking him in the face with it, and finally he chewed on it a little, but you could tell he was just patronizing us...
Regardless, I'm excited to have some jewelry I can wear, because really, if you wear your pajamas all day and brush your hair only every few days, you need all the help you can get.

5's Goal

As much as he likes all the beautiful things I make just for him, he really wants whatever I have. Namely, the camera. He spent most of the day trying to rip it out of my hands or throw it on the floor. Hmm. He actually climbed OVER me to get the strap in these two shots.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone! Hope to see you again soon!
